She was 80 years young. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Slidell, and a parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Wilber J. Navarre Sr. of 61 years; her six children Wilbert Navarre Jr. (Jacqueline Navarre), Patricia Navarre Kelley (Joseph Kelley), Kevin Navarre (Sandra Navarre), Gary Navarre (Karen Navarre), Velita Navarre and Trudy Navarre Collins (Tony Collins); her 21 grandchildren; her numerous great-grandchildren: brothers, Roger Torregano (Donna), Charles Torregano Sr. (Joyce), Edward Torregano (Patricia); her sisters, Lillian Navarre, Gertrude Doucette (Victor), Evelyn Casnave (Herbert) and Adeline Robinson and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her father Patrick Torregano; her mother, Olivia Torregano; her daughter, Joy Navarre; her granddaughter, Cassie Navarre; her great-granddaughter, Sydney Keller and her brothers Herbert Torregano and Louis Torregano. Lorraine was a homemaker with a penchant for cooking that earned her the distinction of an "Executive Chef" with everyone who was fortunate enough to taste her Louisiana Creole Cuisine served with southern hospitality. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family and friends and sitting on her porch admiring the birds and her flowers. She lived her life to the fullest each day and made everyone around her feel special. "Maw Maw"/"Sis" will be missed deeply and remembered forever. We are so grateful for the time and memories we were blessed to share with her. The family would like to give special thanks for all the prayers, love and support sent from all around the country. A Catholic Mass was held yesterday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58189 Highway 433 Slidell. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell. ===================
