Talley Olson, died Nov. 4, 2010, at the age of 86. Eurlene "Talley" was born to Milton Zeno Talley and Eunice Crawford Talley July 6, 1924 in Pearl River. After finishing school and working in New Orleans, she met and married Harold "Swede" Olson. While living in Metairie they had their son, Danny. Shortly afterwards, they established a home in St. Cloud, Minn., had their daughter, Nancy, and raised their family for the next 20 plus years. Eurlene was a homemaker and a talented floral designer working often during peak season. She also established a frozen food company with a dear friend which resembled an "I Love Lucy" episode. It was more fun than work! Upon Harold's retirement with the St. Cloud Police Department and the U.S. Navy, the family moved to Pearl River and built a home on Chris Kennedy Road. Eurlene was preceded in death by her brother (Richard Talley); her husband, Harold "Swede" Daniel Olson, Sr.; her son, Harold "Danny" Daniel Olson, Jr. and one infant grandson. After her husband's death, she moved nearer to her daughter and son and was living in Colorado at the time of her death. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ottman of Durango, Colo.; her sister, Dorothy Powe of Hot Springs National Park, Ark., and her daughter-in-law, Cassandra "Cassie" Tracey Olson of Spring Hill, Tenn. Eurlene had five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service and celebration of Eurlene's life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Audubon Cemetery in Hickory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Audubon Cemetery, c/o Leslie Craddock, 38260 LaCoste Road, Pearl River, LA 70452 for grounds and maintenance of the cemetery. ===================
