DENNIE W. ABNEY, of Waynesboro, MS, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 
Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS.

Beloved husband of Patricia Ann Abney.

Loving father of Kenneth L. Abney, Jack S. Abney, Lazanna Dahl, Patricia Adam, 
Donna William and Tammy Holland.

Son of the late Leo S. Abney, Sr. and Helen Boyle Abney.

Brother of Jennie Gant, Gloria Boyles, Robert Abney, Adrian Innerarity, Billy 
Abney, Jimmy Abney and the late Leo Abney, Jr. and Malcolm Abney.

Also survived by 13 grandchildren; Hunter Abney, Ella and Ava Abney, Courtney 
Necaise, Joshua Holland, Jordan Dahl, Kasey Harvel, Charles Mabry, Dolton 
Necaise, Devin Schwartz, Alexandra William, Amelia William and the late Magen 
Holland and 7 great grandchildren.

Age 63 years; a native and lifelong resident of Slidell and most recently a 
resident of Waynesboro, MS. Dennie graduated from Slidell High School and served 
his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged with the 
rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Louisiana and Mississippi American 
Legion and VFW. He retired from Boh Brothers Construction Co.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on 
Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 
GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA. A graveside service 
will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11:00am in Biloxi National Cemetery,
