Backes

Edgar  Charles Backes Jr. age 69, and a long time resident of Lacombe, lost his 
battle with cancer Friday, May 13, 2011. 

He was a retired foreman from Boh Bros Construction Co.

He is survived by his wife of  48 years, Rosemary Mancuso Backes; sons Edgar C. 
III, Thomas A.., and Barry C. Backes; daughters, Rosanne B. Smith, Cindy A. 
Cusimano and sister Carol B. Victor. He is also survived by three grandchildren, 
Jessica L. Smith, Kristin A. Barnhart and Nathan J. Smith, and step-grandchild, 
Bobby C. Jones.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar C. Sr. and Elly Caillouet 
Backes.

Services were held Monday at Williams Funera, Home, Pearl River, officiated by 
Brandon Gremillion of Freedom for Life Ministries. 
Interment was in Peace Grove Cemetery, Horseshoe Island Road, Lacombe
