He was the beloved father of Crystal Butler Bell and Spring Butler-Keller and husband John; son of the late Joseph Butler and Ethel Stewart Butler and brother of Mary Louise Owens of Chicago, Ill. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Dana Bell and Brett Keller; one great- grandson, Corey Jackson Jr.; sister-in-law, Mardell Delahoussaye; niece, Zona Marchand and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his former wife Brenda Delahoussaye Butler Knox. He was born in Harlan, Ky., and was a lifelong resident of the metro New Orleans area. Mr. Butler owned and operated Butler's Cleaners of New Orleans, and he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an enthusiastic fisherman.
