Born in New Orleans on May 19, 1940 to the late Stanley Emile, Sr. and Jeannette LeBreton LeBlanc, she has been a resident of Covington for over 50 years. The beloved wife of the late George Frank Hagardorn, Jr., she is survived by two daughters, Jeanine Hagardorn Barnes, spouse Duncan Keith Barnes; Roslyn Hagardorn Hanson, spouse Gerald Glenn Hanson; one son, George Frank Hagardorn III, spouse Melinda Crain Hagardorn; five sisters: Linda L. Waguespack, Elaine L. Wagener, Mary Frances L. Boneno, Barbara L. Samrow and Fay L. Newfield; two brothers, Stanley E. LeBlanc, Jr. and James E. LeBlanc; nine grandchildren: Elizabeth Aimee' Hanson Majoue', Sharon Renee Hanson Moore, Brian Glenn Hanson, Kristen Elise Barnes, Erica Lauren Hagardorn, Steven Keith Barnes, Amanda Leigh Hanson, Kayla Michelle Hagardorn, Gretchen Eileen Barnes and five great grandchildren: Ava Anne Moore, Jackson Dean Majoue', Isabelle Aimee' Majoue', Mackenzie Asia Chrost and Andrew Dare Moore. Jeannette was very active in her community and a dedicated parishioner of St. Peter Parish in Covington. She was employed by St. Peter Catholic Church as their CCD Director, was the Director of Music for a short time. She worked in the Accounting Department for the City of Covington, acted as a Coordinator for the Covington Center for Development and Learning, sat with the City of Covington Ethics Board and was a former Commissioner for the City's Planning and Zoning Board. As a volunteer, she gave of her time to the students and staff at both Lyon Elementary and William Pitcher Junior High Schools. She was an Officer in the Covington League of Woman Voters, a Eucharistic Minister for St. Peter Parish and for her dedication and service to the Catholic Church; she received the St. Louis Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 16, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours at the church will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens will immediately follow mass.
