JAMES 'JIM' HOWARD COOK, of Slidell, LA passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011.
Beloved Husband of Wilma Hunter Cook and by his first marriage to the late Eula 
Francis Mullinix Cook.
Father of Danny L. Cook(Sharon), Beverly Sue Williford, Rickey Lynn Bolling, and 
the late James W. Cook(Liz).
Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great 
grandchild.

Age 87 years.

A native of Wedowee, Alabama and a longtime resident of Slidell. He was a 
graduate of the University of Chattanooga with a Bachelors degree and was a 
Traveling Salesman. He served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sargent 95th Infantry 
Division during WWII in Germany and Belgium. He holds the Combat Infantryman's 
badge and he received the ETO Ribbon with two battle stars and the Purple Heart. 
He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Slidell for many years, and was a 
former member of the Food Buyers and Drummers Club.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 1:00 P.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Wednesday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Donations to the K-Bar-B Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 1517, Lacombe, LA 70445 
preferred, in lieu of flowers.
