Beloved husband of 62 years to Mary F. Davis. Loving father of Jacqueline Davis, Joan Davis, Sandra Quilio, John Davis, III (and wife Faye), Sylvia Davis, Susan Wyrick M.D (and husband Kevin) and Michael Davis (and wife Karen). Son of the late Gladys Whitehead Davis and John Jennings Davis. Brother of Winnie Schilling, Albert Davis, Dorothy Davis and the late Gladys Fowler, Esther Smith, Richard Davis and Elsie Pacht. Grandfather of Joseph Quilio (and wife Melissa), Ann Quilio, Jennifer Wyrick, Stephen Wyrick, Jillian Davis, Cassie Davis, Kaitlin Davis and Mallory Davis. Also survived by three great-grandchildren. Dr. Davis graduated from LSU Medical School in 1948. He was an Associate Pathologist at Mercy Hospital in New Orleans (1949-1967) and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War at Fort Chaffee Arkansas as Chief of Pathology Service. From 1967-2002, he served as Medical Director of Pathology at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS and retired to Mandeville, LA in 2004. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, June 22, 2011at 1:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will follow in Mandeville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Dr. Davis be made to Hospice of St. Tammany. ===================
