Merle Joan Behrman Haywood passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 16, 
2011 at the age of 81. 

Merle was born in New Orleans, LA in 1929 and resided in Slidell, LA for the 
past 28 years. 
A wonderful caring mother, loved by all that knew her. 

She is deeply missed by her four children, Michael Haywood, Jayne Haywood, Nancy 
J. Hoeflick, and Linda E. Haywood. Sister of Dorothy Henricks and Edward 
Behrman, Jr. Grandmother of Daniel and Hale Hoeflick, and James B. Williams, Jr. 
Great grandmother of Landon Hoeflick. 

Merle was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Eugene (Gene) Haywood and her 
parents, Carrie Mizell Behrman and Edward Behrman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel 
of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Tuesday, 
June 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Visitation from 12:00 pm until service time. 
Interment will be held at West Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

Our mother leaves many beautiful memories for us and others.
