She was born July 6, 1931 in New Orleans. Cecelia resided in Pearl River. She worked for the St. Tammany Parish School Board for 16 years, where she later retired. She was a very compassionate person and caregiver for many family members. In their time of need she was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her five children, Percy Quin, Cecelia Young, Diane Quin, Terry Blackwell and Jessie Routzahn. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters, Louise Bender and Alice Thomas and brothers, Albert Schmiderer and Richard Schmiderer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Calhoun Quin; father Louis Schmiderer; mother Clara Schmiderer; sisters, Deette Seymour, Myra Diaz, Rosie Deckwa and Mary Warner, and brothers, Louis Schmiderer and Calvin Schmiderer. Mrs. Quin requested that in lieu of flowers, make a donation to the VFW in Pearl River, where her husband was a member. There will be a private graveside service. ===================
