SPRUIELL, IRIS 
(Died June 6, 2011)

Iris Taylor Spruiell passed away Monday, June 6, 2011. 

A resident of Covington for the past 35 years, she was born July 4, 1935 in 
Enterprise, AL to the late Gaston Graham and Julia Holly Taylor.

As a young girl her family lived for many years in Leeds, AL. A graduate of 
Tulane University, she remained and reared her own children in New Orleans, LA. 
She was a concert pianist and model before graduating in archeology. An 
accomplished artist, she was known for her love of the woods and rescued 
animals. Her laughter and insight will be very much missed.

She is survived by three children: Dr. Graham Lindley Spruiell, Fain Spruiell 
Smith and Garth Vann Spruiell and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death 
by the father of her children, Dr. Vann Spruiell and one daughter, Locke 
Spruiell.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
