Command Sergeant Major (retired) Kenneth Owen Wintz died on Sunday, May 22, 2011 
at home in Lacombe, LA, at the age of 85. 

Kenneth was a graduate of St. Stanislaus School, retired from the U.S. Army 
after serving his country for 20 years. Kenneth fought in World War II, where he 
was a P.O.W., and also served in the Korean Conflict. After leaving the 
military, he worked at Civil District Court, Parish of Orleans and retired as 
Clerk of Division "G" after 20 years.

Beloved husband of Alberta Doreen Wintz. Beloved father of Lynn Wintz Lemoine 
(Butch) and Lee Wintz Lemoine (Gary). Brother of Jonathan Guyot Smith. Proud 
grandfather of 11, great grandfather of 20, and great great grandfather of 5.

Preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Guyot Smith; stepfather, Ralph Smith; 
father, Fredric F. Wintz; and stepmother Edith Rovira Wintz.

Special thanks to Lakeshore Hospice for taking great care of Ken in his final 
days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of 
Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Wednesday, 
May 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Visitation from 12:00 pm until service time.
