January 5, 1955 - July 2, 2011 Herbert William Caballero, Jr., loving husband, stepfather, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully, with his family and friends by his side, at the age of 56, on Saturday, 2nd day of July, 2011, at Ochsner Hospital. He was born on January 5, 1955, and was the only son of the late Herbert William Caballero, Sr. and the late Katherine Marsalis Caballero. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell, La. He is survived by his beloved wife, Luanne Kelly Orduna Caballero; his stepchildren: Carly Dominick and Charles "Chuck" Dominick; his grandson: Ian William Brennan; his sister: Katherine C. Guitterrez; and numerous nephews and nieces. Herb was a graduate of Warren Easton High School and attended the University of New Orleans. He has worked as a real estate agent, construction worker, purchasing agent, irrigation contractor and concealed weapons instructor at F.I.T.S. He enjoyed his hobbies of scuba diving, archery, travel, history of World War II, and creating pottery. He was a member of numerous organizations including Concorde Chapter, Order of Demolay; various lodges of Masonic orders and chapters of Eastern Star among others. Herb will be remembered by family and friends for his wit, charm, knowledge and love of life. He will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 360 Robert Boulevard, Slidell, La. at 1:00 p.m. and a remembrance reception in the church hall beginning at 2:00 p.m. ===================
