A resident of Loranger, LA since 2005, he was born January 19, 1921 in Golden City, MO to the late Daniel H. and Nellie Swearingen Grant and lived most of his life in Pelham, AL. The beloved husband of Annie Mae Lovelady Grant, he is survived by his son, Roy Lee Grant and one sister, Irene G. Murray. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Nell Ludford Grant; his daughter, Martha Ann Grant Graham; two granddaughters, Terry Lee and Crystal Nell Grant; step granddaughter, Donna Gail Schetrompf; five sisters and one brother. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Lisa Grant Steele and Sherry Graham Smith; four step grandchildren: Paula Theriot Wise, Leroy P. Theriot, Danny J. Tastet and David M. Schetrompf and 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Grant was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a dedicated member of the VFW Post #3652. As an auto mechanic for most of his life, he was an avid antique car collector and a member of the Model T Club of America. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. A wake is scheduled for Monday, July 11, 2011 from 5-9:00 PM with visiting hours beginning Tuesday at 12:30 PM. Interment at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA will immediately follow services. ===================
