Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2011/st1107.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Patricia "Big Pat" Meadows Hardaway, a former long-time resident of Bossier City, died peacefully Friday, July 22, 2011 at her home in Covington, Louisiana. Born on February 12, 1931 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Patricia moved to the Bossier City area in 1944 where she attended Byrd High School. In 1948, she attended Centenary College where she met and married Dr. Gaius Norwood Hardaway. Patricia became the Executive Director of the Bossier Housing Authority in 1978. Her legacy in Bossier City will live on through Patricia Plaza, a complex she designed for the low income, elderly, and handicap citizens. In addition to her career helping those less fortunate, she was a Sunday shool teacher at First Methodist Church where she had been a member since 1955. Her family and friends will always remember this elegant woman for her wisdom and sense of humor. Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Ginger Veazey and Margaret "Sissy" Hardaway Massey; her six grandchildren Juliette Michelle Bates, P.J. Hambrick, Gaius Lucas Holladay, Mark Stuart Massey, Jr., Erika Massey Schreiber, Alyson Patricia Massey; and two great granddaughters Adeleine Juliette Bates and Selah Rose Schreiber. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Dr. Gaius Norwood Hardaway. ===================
