HILL (MSGT, USAF RETIRED), of Slidell, LA on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, passed away peacefully at his residence after a lengthy illness. Beloved Husband of: Margaret W."Maggie" Hill. Father of Constance Hill Hogrefe, N.Ft. Myers,FL. and Laura Hill Lato,Mt. Laurel, NJ Step-Father of: Kyle D. and Kent H. Bowser, Slidell, LA and Susan Bowser Brusa, McKinney, TX. Son of the late: Clyde and Bertha Hill Brother of: Albert D. Hill, Winnsboro, LA, Henry C. Hill, Los Fresnos, TX And Bobbie Jean Hill Adams, Natchez, MS Grandfather of: Matthew Lato, Robert, LA, Jeffrey Lato, Mt. Laurel, NJ, Paula and Eric Hogrefe, N. Ft. Myers, FL and the late: Gregroy Scott "P.J." Hogrefe. Step-Grandfather of: Elliot, Madelyn and Blake Bowser, Slidell, LA, Sam, Allison and Jillian Brusa, McKinney, TX Also survived by his great grandson: Paul Lato, Robert, LA Age: 80 years. A native of Delhi, LA and resident for the past 43 years in Slidell, LA, Burt at the age of 16 joined the USAF and retired after 20 years of service during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was then employed by Boeing Aircraft and Shell Oil Co., and retired from Chevron Corporation after 20 years. He then pursued "his third career" that of playing golf. He was a past member of the South Mississippi Senior Golf Association and Millbrook Country Club. Bro. Hill was a Perpetual Member and Worshipful Master (1983) of Slidell Lodge No. 311 F & AM and served as Worshipful Master of the 14th Masonic District Lodge (1984), District Deputy Grand Master of the 14th Masonic District(1985), District Grand Lecturer of the 14th Masonic District(1993,1994.1995), and was, he was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Slidell, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Services at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Slidell, LA on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Wybra Price, officiating. Private Inurnment will take place at a later date in BILOXI NATIONAL CEMETERY. Donations to: First United Methodist Church Building Fund ,preferred, in lieu of flowers.
