Beloved Wife of Donald Krause; Mother of Derek Krause; Daughter of Vesta Meche Soileau and the late Harris James Firmin; Sister of Dolores Henderson (husband Eugene), Karen Larson (husband Daryl), and the late Tilman James Firmin; Step-daughter of James Soileau, step-sister of Stephanie Soileau Stelly (husband Mike); A native of Cottonport, Louisiana, a longtime resident of Slidell, and a resident of Pearl River, La since 1987. Elaine was the co-founder and first president of the St. Tammany Parish Foster Parents Association, founder of the St. Tammany Parish Foster Parent Food Pantry, 1995 St. Tammany Parish and Regional Foster Parent of the Year. She was active with St. Margaret Mary School, Creekside Junior High School, Slidell Christian Home Educators Fellowship, and Boy Scouts of America Troop 101 and Troop 98, and Cub Scout Pack 365 and Pack 192, in Pearl River LA, and was Cypress District Cub Scout Day Camp Director in Slidell. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00am until service time. Memorial Gifts may be made to United Way of St. Tammany. ===================
