"Captain" Warren Ato Mendow passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the age 
of 82, affectionately known as "Captain Mendow". 

A lifelong resident of Covington, LA. Former husband of Helen Hamilton and 
loving father of Deborah Mendow El Rouby, Raymond Mendow, and Dawn Keely Mendow. 
Brother of Kitty McLain and Lorraine Duncan. Also survived by 2 grandchildren, 
Andrew Mendow, Shelley Hornbuckle, and 3 great grandchildren, Scott Gottesman, 
Gage Mendow, and Kali Hornbuckle. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Ardena Taylor Mendow and Adolph Mendow, his 
grandson, Joey Mendow, his brother, Louis Mendow; his sisters, Gertrude Jenkins, 
Helen West and Frances Galloway, and his wife, Judy Mendow.

Warren was a lifelong member of Covington Masonic Lodge #188. All Masons are 
invited to attend.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of 
Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Monday, July 18, 
2011 at 3:00 pm. Visitation from 1:00 pm until service time. 
Interment will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
