Patton passed away at Regency Hospital in Covington on Saturday, July 16, 2011 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a courageous battle with COPD. A resident of Covington since 1979, he was born December 28, 1938 in Rocky Mount, NC to the late Jennings Hill and Mattie Hutto Patton. The beloved husband of Sandie Archambo Patton, he is survived by his daughter, Laura Patton Landry (David); two sons, T.C. Patton (Gigi) and Brian Patton; one brother, Fred Patton and two grandchildren, Sophie and Connor Landry. He was preceded in death by one brother, J.H. Patton. Captain Patton was a pilot for Delta Airlines for 32 years. He lived everyday of his life to the fullest and always enjoyed the time that he spent with family and friends. Capt. Patton had a remarkable loving spirit and was known to put smiles on the faces of everyone that he touched. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours will begin Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Interment will be private. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the wonderful and caring doctors, nurses and staff at both Regency and St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
