Robert John Poole, age 80, passed away peacefully at home with family by his 
side, on Sunday, July 10, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. 

A current resident of Slidell, LA and a former resident of New Orleans, LA. 

Loving and devoted husband of 55 years to Frances Porche Poole. Proud father of 
4 sons, Joseph (Janice), Roy (Tara), Edward (Norma) and Charles (Yvonne). Proud 
grandfather of Melissa, Shanna (Brad), Annabeth (Josh), Lacie, Nicholas 
(Jessica), Joey (Ashley), Terri, Jennifer, Chere, Kelsey and the late Erica. 
Great-grandfather of six, brother-in-law of Louise Porche Oats (Joe) and uncle 
of many nieces and nephews.

R.J. was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 393rd F.A. Battalion during the 
Korean War from 1953-1955.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Northshore 
Church, 310 Kensington Blvd. Slidell, LA 70458 on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 
11:00 am. (985) 726-6178.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeshore Hospice, 2659 N. Causeway 
Blvd., Mandeville, LA 70448, in memory of Robert.
