Charles R. ÒBuddyÓ Allen Sr. passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at the age of 
81. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Elizabeth Fay Allen, 
stepmother to his children; his parents, Walter James Allen and Lucille Lillian 
Duke; brothers, Joseph, Walter and Edward; sisters, Mary, Pauline, Patrich, 
Katherine, Ann, Donna and Nancy and his daughter, Nancy Marie Allen.

He is survived by his sister Margaret ÒPeggyÓ; sons, Roy J. Marchand, Ronald S. 
ÒBubbaÓ Allen, Charles R. ÒRickyÓ Allen Jr., Harold J. ÒJimmyÓ Allen, John M. 
Allen and Joseph M. ÒJodyÓ Allen; 13 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.

He was born in Memphis, Tenn., Aug. 20, 1929, and was a longtime resident of 
Slidell. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired S.I.U. Seaman.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial Mass at 
noon today at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell. 
Visitation at the church today is from 11 a.m. until funeral time. 
Interment is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. 

Following the service there will be a reception at the home of his sister-in-
law, Rosemary Allen.

Arrangements are by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc. Slidell.
