He was born June 2, 1947 in New Orleans. He was the son of Lawrence A. ÒBubbaÓ and Bettie Trigg Davenport. He was a former employee for the city of Dayton, Tenn., and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dayton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam. He loved to get together with friends and pick the guitar and play music. He was a Christian person and his hope was for everyone to follow God. He is preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Bubba and Marcia Davenport of Slidell; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Keri Stringer Dunaway of the East Fork community; one daughter, Karlee Davenport of Mt. Hermon; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Sissy Davenport of Summit; one sister and brother- in-law, Noel and Dennis Anders of Summit; three grandchildren, Koltin and Keelee Dunaway and Tristan ÒToogyÓ Davenport; three nephews, Kristopher Andre Davenport of St. Amant, Robert Kyle Davenport of McComb, Miss., and Marc Weekley and wife, Adrianne of Jayess, Miss.; two nieces, Shannon Hodgson and husband Bain of Cape Coral, Fla., and Laura Woodard of Summit and numerous friends. Funeral services were held yesterday at the Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home, McComb, Miss., with Dr. David Millican officiating. Interment was in the Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Hospice Compassus, 140 North 5th Street, McComb, MS 39648. ===================
