Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2011/st1108.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== WILLIAM JAMES FINNAN, beloved husband of Norma Jean Eide Finnan, passed away at his home in Slidell, LA on August 16, 2011 after a hard battle with pancreatic cancer. Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired after 30 years. He served in the Vietnam War and throughout his career he served aboard various submarines. He was an active member in the Pearl River and Lake Shore, MS VFW Post and also the American Legion Post #Ős 185 and 374 of Slidell, LA. He was the former Commander of the Pearl River VFW and also held other positions in other various posts. He loved to fish and hunt and host crawfish, crab and shrimp boils at his home in Ansley, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, James William Finnan and Elsie Guidroz Bottemiller and his infant son, Billy Finnan. Survived by his daughters, Denise Marie and Tiffany Ann Finnan, his brother Robert Dolin, cousin Sheryl Colson, 7 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11:00am.
