KNIGHT, VELMA TISDALE 
October 8, 1925 - August 15, 2011 	

Velma Tisdale Knight passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the age of 85. 

A lifelong resident of the Lee Road area of Covington, LA. Beloved wife of the 
late William H. Knight. Loving mother of Dolores K. Watson (Rusty), Janet 
Louise Knight Penton (Charles), and Charles Ray Knight and the late Alvin Leon 
Knight, Sr. and James Earl Knight. 
Daughter of the late Ophelia Hunt and Willie Tisdale. Sister of the late 
Charles Mapes.
Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great 
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Velma worked as a nurse at St. Tammany Parish Hospital for over 25 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Saturday, 
August 20, 2011 at 12:00 pm. 
Visitation Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday morning 11:00 
am until service time. 
Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
