Charles Henry McMurray passed away Friday, August 19, 2011. 

A resident of Covington for most of his life, he was born June 18, 1919 in New 
Orleans, LA to the late Alvin and Irene Dunn McMurray.

The beloved husband of Elizabeth Paysse McMurray, he is survived by his 
daughter, Eileen M. Fenger, husband Bernie; two sons, Michael J. McMurray, wife 
Deidra and Kevin C. McMurray, wife Colleen; brother Alvin Kenneth McMurray, 
wife Ellen; three sisters: Geraldine M. Marmillion, husband Merlin, Audrey M. 
Pechon, husband Earl , Jane M. Wainwright, husband Kemmler (deceased) ; eight 
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr. McMurray was a graduate of St. PaulÕs School in Covington and Loyola 
University of New Orleans and during World War II served his country in the 
Army Air Corps as a flight instructor. He began his career with the Internal 
Revenue Service and after retirement became the auditor for the Christian 
BrotherÕs Schools, southwest district. He dedicated himself in service to the 
Catholic Church and his alma mater, St. PaulÕs. He was made an affiliated 
member of Brothers of Christian Schools.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 
11:00 AM on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th 
Ave. Covington, LA 70433

A wake is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 6-9:00 PM at E.J. 
Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

Visitation at St. PeterÕs Church will begin Thursday at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow 
mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AlzheimerÕs Association,
