Allen was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis R. Moreau and Celia A. McLaughlin, his loving wife, Amelia Gargano Moreau, his daughter Allene M. Leonard and his brothers Louis and Charles Moreau. He is survived by his daughters Mary Ann Lamm (husband Anthony) and Sherlyn M. Dwelle, his grandchildren; Anthony, Jr., and Nicole Lamm, William D. and Duane Dwelle, Nicholas Leonard, Carli Bryant and Keith Porche, Jr. Great-grandfather of Tyler and Dominic Lamm, William D. Jr. , Zachary and Julia Rose Dwelle. He retired from the New Orleans Police Department with 20 years of service. He was awarded the ÒMetal of Merit in 1957Ó. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during World War II. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Phillip Neri Church, 6500 Kawanee Avenue Metairie, LA on Saturday August 27, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time at the church. Internment to follow at a later date. ===================
