Edgar E. Turnley of Mandeville passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at age 85 
in Birmingham, AL.

He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Mandeville for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Elaine Lognion Turnley and his 
brother Lytle C. Turnley. He was the son of the late Carl and Henrietta Freeman 
Turnley.

He is survived by his daughter Carla Hill (James) of Birmingham and grandsons 
Kevin Hill and Brian Hill of Birmingham.

He was retired from AT&T and was a long-time member of the Ozone Council Life 
Member chapter of the Louisiana AT&T Pioneers.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a visitation at E.J. 
Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, 
August 30, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 12:30 PM in 
Lacassine Catholic Cemetery in Lacassine, LA.
