David Lee Cothran Jr. passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at the age 
of 28. 

Mr. Cothran was born Oct. 7, 1982 in Dallas, Texas to David and Vanessa Cothran 
Sr. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lames Leroy Harrison and Clarence 
Cothran Sr. and uncles, Philip Robinson and Teddy Bartholomew. 

He is survived by his son Dailon M. Cothran; loving companion Neoka Ashley; 
parents David Cothran Sr. of Houston and Vanessa H. Fowler of Slidell; 
stepfather Toney Fowler; brother Torey Peters; sisters, Dana Fergines, Teresa 
Autry of Dallas and Taryn Turner of Baton Rouge; grandmothers, Dorothy Harrison 
of Slidell, and Rosie Lee Cothran of Shreveport; Godparents Karen Bartholomew 
of Slidell and Ronie Cothran of Dayton, Ohio and several aunts, uncles, aunts, 
cousins, nieces, nephews and many beloved friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 11 a.m. ? 1 p.m. 
tomorrow at Hartzell Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 41040 U.S. Highway 190 
E., Slidell. Funeral services will follow the viewing. 
Burial will be in the Harrison Jackson Square Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to any local homeless shelter, halfway house or nursing home
