Jeri Komitsky, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, surrounded by family and 
friends after a courageous battle with cancer. 

She was the beloved mother of Patricia Jean Komitsky; devoted companion of 
Rhett Wood; sister to Judy Reis, Jaye Tucker, Jill Gasser, Jane Reis and Joan 
Mitchell and aunt of Courtney, Alex, James, Andrew and Jennifer. 

She was preceded in death by parents Leonard A. and Marion D. Reis. 

Jeri was born in Metairie Nov. 5, 1960, and has resided in Slidell for the past 
26 years. 
She graduated from Riverdale High School, and has worked for Textron Marine for 
the past 18 years. She loved horses, cats, fishing, crabbing and watching 
Saints football. Jeri fulfilled a life long dream of going to the Kentucky 
Derby in May 2010. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, 
Sept. 9, 2011 at St. LukeÕs Catholic Church in Slidell. Visitation is at 10 
a.m.; private viewing at 9:30 a.m. 
Private Interment to follow at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pearl River.
