JOYCE COX LUMPKIN, of Picayune, MS. Passed away on Saturday, September 10, 
2011.

Beloved Wife of the late Jimboye Lumpkin
Mother of David Deason(Denise), Mark Lumpkin(Elaine)and the late Clyde Newton 
Lumpkin.
Sister of Earl Cox, Huey Cox, Noel Cox Ghergich, the late George S. Cox, Jr., 
Mercedes Cox Lingo, Arthur J. Cox, Henry(Hank) Cox, Edward Cox, and Louisiana 
(Lou) Cox Reese Brooks.
Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Mark Lumpkin, Jr., David Deason, Jr., Joshua 
Lumpkin, Jeremy Lumpkin, Amber Davis, and 7 great grandchildren Abby, Gabby, 
Tabby, Madeliene, Avery, Louis, Bella and numerous nieces, nephews and other 
relatives and friends.

Age 84 years, a native of New Orleans and a former longtime resident of 
Slidell. A longtime member of the Krewe De La Boutte Dominique, the Bayou 
Liberty Civic Club and a member Order of the Eastern Star Lakeshore Chapter 
#59.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 
HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, 
LA on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday 
after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
