Richard Frank Purvinis "Uncle Slim" entered glory on Wednesday, September 7, 
2011 at age 85.

Beloved husband of the late Daisy Verrette Purvinis.
Uncle of Susan Lee and Georgeanne Friend. Son of the late Stanley and Mary 
Purvinis. Brother of Tom and Alwin Purvinis. Also survived by many nieces and 
nephews.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, September 13, 
2011 beginning at 10:00 AM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, 
Covington, LA 70433 followed by a service at 12:00 noon.

Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
