Johnny ÒTommyÓ T. Waller Jr., 77, of Lacombe, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 
2011, at Ochsner Northshore Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Eve H. Waller for the past 56 years; father of 
Jerry, Perry (Annie), Nancy Dempsey (Pat), David, John (Dona) and Darren (Mary) 
Waller; son of the late John T., Sr. and Clarisse Waller and brother of the 
late Melvin Waller and Mary ÒCissyÓ McCabe. He is also survived by 16 
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Lacombe since 1974. He served 
his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a retired 
firefighter for the New Orleans Fire Dept. after 16 years of service. He was a 
member of the VFW Post 8290, Lacombe.

The funeral services were held Monday at Honaker Funeral Home, Slidell. 
Internment was in Toomer Cemetery in Lacombe. Donations to The American Cancer 
Society at www.cancer.org are preferred, in lieu of flowers.
