Beloved wife of the late Robert Bailey by first marriage and the late John Batta by second marriage. Mother of Kevin Bailey, Lisa Langston and the late Jeffrey Bailey. Step-mother of John Batta, Jill Large, Julie Madison and Michael Batta. Daughter of the late George and Isabelle Foster Murphy. Sister of the late Rosemary Kurimay, Dorothy Planeta and Catherine Wilde. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Age 69 years; a native of Litchfield, CT a former longtime resident of Savannah, GA and a resident of Lacombe, LA for the past 6 years. She was a member of the Telephone PioneerÕs, the Slidell NewcomerÕs Club and the Slidell Red Hats Assoc. She was a parishioner of St. John of The Cross Catholic Church in Lacombe, LA and was a volunteer with the U.S.O. and the Red Cross while residing in Savannah, GA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, LA on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Burial will be at a later date in Savannah, GA. Donations to: The U.S.O. or the American Red Cross is preferred, in lieu of flowers.
