Beloved husband for 51 years of Janice Poolych Bernadas. Father of Janine Rodriguez Bagur (Brian), Barry (Blanche Baker), Gaynell Bernadas Hunt (John), Paul-David (Lene Woolley) Bernadas. Preceded in death by his father Alfred Charles Bernadas, his mother Sarah Harris Bernadas, and sister Iris Bernadas Kampen. Grandfather of Ian-Charles, Jacob, Zachary, Noah, Alina, and Sarah Bernadas, Iris and Brenna Hunt, Brogan and Wren (lil dude) Bernadas, Kattie, Emily and Sarah Rodriguez, Michelle and Lindsay Bagur, and Julie Losch. He also leaves behind his loyal friend his dog Newton. He adored his wife, children and grandchildren and they adored him. He also had many other relatives and many friends. Former employee of Woodward and Wight, Edgar Murray Supply, Dixie Mill Supply and former owner of Fascination Inc, Chalmette Louisiana. Paul served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved his friends at the Covington AARP chapter 5408. He loved doing the 50/50 raffle, calling the Bingo, going to luncheons, casino╒s and spent many happy days on road trips. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A native of New Orleans, LA, former resident of St. Bernard until 2005 and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 6 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 12:00 PM. Visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Food Bank of Covington, 840 N.
