Beloved Husband of the late Marguerite V. Bruno and by the first marriage to the late Verna Mae Watkins Bruno. Father of Carol Bruno Fazzio(Jerry) and Arlene Bruno Babst(Johnny). Brother of the late Dominic Bruno, Sr. and Vivian Bruno Fail. Grandfather of Ashlee and Aaron Babst and the late Scott Fazzio. Uncle of Dominic Bruno, Jr., Butch Bruno and Cheryl Fail Alfonso. A native of Palermo, Sicily. He came to the U.S. when he was three years old and was a resident of Slidell for the past 85 years. He served in the Burma Campaign in WWII as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union # 60 for over 58 years. He was truly an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and garden. His family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of St. Joseph Hospice, the many doctors who have cared for him over these last years and the prayers offered by Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 12:00 O’clock noon. Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation at the church on Monday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time. Donations to St. Joseph Hospice, preferred, in lieu of flowers ===================
