Beloved Husband of Faith Stein Cooper for the past 56 years. Father of Christianne C. Wichterich(Kenneth), Carla C. Mayer(Robert), Craig Cooper(Sandy) and Chawn P. Cooper(Angie). Brother of Carolyn C. Cole, Tommy, Randy, David, the late Cleit, Gary Cooper and Cynthia Phelps. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kristopher Wichterich, Andy, Dinah McManus, Ciara and Celena Cooper, two great grandchildren, Sara Wichterich and Kristopher Wichterich,II. He was a 1959 graduate of L.S.U. where he was a member of Tau Beta Phi and Phi Etta Sigma. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He was a pioneer in the space race, radar technology, aerospace and electrical engineering. After conquering the moon, he forged C. Cooper Construction with his family that would help build Slidell. His great golf shoes cannot nor will not ever be filled. We love you. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 12:30 P.M. Visitation at the Church on Friday after 10:30 A.M. until funeral time.
