He was a truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife Irene Oaties; two daughters, Melissa Longino and Angela Williams; three sons, Gregory Longino, Larrie Oaties Jr. and Derrick Oaties and two sisters, Jurel Bean and Willie Bea Rogers. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Aultman; mother, Mae Norwood and brother Roosevelt Oaties. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday Oct. 15 at Faith Bible Church, 1148 N. Columbia St., Covington, with Pastor Alfred Young Jr. officiating. Dismissal will be at the South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Prentiss, Miss., and interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home of St. Tammany is in charge of arrangements. ===================
