We lost our beautiful Jessica on Oct. 26 after a long and courageous fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Jessica leaves behind her loving husband Jon, her beautiful daughters, Olivia and Hannah, her loving mother and father Mary and Jesse Nieves and her dear sister Nicolle Nieves. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alicia. She also leaves behind her Mother in Law, Karen Pettus and her dear friends Allison Robinson Kunkle, Marianne Tanner, Stacy Davis and all of the members of the Wine and Nerds Club. She was a native of Clearwater, FL and a resident of Slidell, LA since 2002. Her family wishes to extend a very special thanks to the LSU Interim Medical Center staff and the Tulane University Medical Center staff for their care and compassion during Jessica's 18 month illness as well as special thanks to the City of Slidell and Toyota of Slidell for hosting blood drives in her name as well as Police Chief Randy Smith and Fire Chief Chris Kauffman. Jessica was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend to all that knew her. We will all remember those beautiful blue eyes, her smile that could light up a room and her witty sense of humor. She will remain in our hearts forever. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, on Saturday, October 29,2011 at 1:00 PM.
