ELAINE RAGAS, age 70, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, October 31, 
2011.

Daughter of the late Dilwith J. Ragas and Thelma Nussbaum Ragas.

She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Ragas Yarger, brother-in-law, Tom 
Yarger, niece, Pamela Yarger Patterson and her husband, Mark, her nephew, Keith 
Yarger and his wife, Karen. Also survived by her great-neice, Alexandra Yarger 
and great-nephew, Bradley Yarger.

A native of Buras, La, she graduated from Buras High School and moved to New 
Orleans, then to Slidell after retiring from Bellsouth in 1998 with 39 years of 
service. She was a devoted member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church. The family 
wishes to thank the members of Lamb of God for their prayers and support 
throughout Elaine’s courageous battle with cancer. A special thanks to her 
doctors and the staff of Lakeshore Hospice for their tender loving care.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services 
at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 57210 Allen Road, Slidell, LA, 70461,on 
Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans.

Visitation at the church on Saturday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Donations to Lamb of God Lutheran Church Dream Fund or Thomas/McMahon Cancer 
Foundation, 1120 Robert Blvd, Suite 330, Slidell, La. 70458, preferred, in lieu 
of flowers.
