REID

Russell Thomas Reid, age 64, of Slidell, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, 
at his home surrounded by his family.

A native of Houma, he was a geologist and a member of St. Luke The Evangelist 
Church. Tom was a graduate of LSU, and a member of the LSU Alumni Association. 
He was a geologist for 28 years for Chevron. He grew up in Grand Isle, and 
enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and numerous other hobbies. Tom was a loving 
husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Reid and Annie M. Rogers 
Reid; his loving wife, Judith Mae Reid, and his one brother, Robert (Jimmy) 
James Reid. 

Survivors include his children, Jimmy (Leslie) Reid, Damien (Heidi) Reid, 
Nathan (Rachael) Reid, Joyce Reid, and Theresa Reid; his grandchildren, Emma, 
Ella, Mason, Audrey, Colton, and Benjamin, and his brother, Charles Wayne 
(Cathy) Reid.

A Mass of Christian Burial for will be held at 1 p.m. today at St. Luke the 
Evangelist Church, Slidell. 
Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Cemetery, Long Beach, Miss., 
under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. 
Father Joseph Tang will officiate at the service, assisted by Deacon Harold 
Burke.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association, 2405 River Rd, New 
Orleans, LA
