The beloved husband of 59 years to Phyllis Liuzza Sharai, he was the father of John Ed Sharai, Sr., Matthew T. Sharai and the late Mark L. Sharai; grandfather of John Ed Sharai, Jr. (Allison), Brigitte M. Sharai, and the late Pierce Taylor Sharai. He is also survived by a granddaughter and a great-grandson. He was the son of the late Frank Spencer Sharai and Thelma Hopper Jaubert; stepson of Emelda Sharai and stepbrother of Stephen T. Sharai (Danielle). Mr. Sharai was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of Covington, for the past 28 years; and was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Covington. Mr. Sharai was the owner of Taylor Services. A special Thank You to Hospice Compassus and the infusion nurses at Ochsner Northshore. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Rita Catholic Church, 7118 Jefferson Hwy., Harahan. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Compassus (www.hospicecompassus.com) in Mr. Sharai’s name are preferred. Arrangements are by Bagnell & Son Funeral Home of Covington. ===================
