He was born March 6, 1990, in Slidell. Jonathan was the beloved son of retired Slidell Police Chief of Detectives Sigmund (Ziggy) Swenson and Karon Ross Swenson and loving brother of Thor Christopher Swenson. He also leaves his maternal grandfather , James H. Ross, of Kiln, Miss., and paternal great-aunt, Martha Disimone of Slidell; his aunt and uncle Cindy and Mark Cleveland and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John Ray and Mary Louise Swenson and his maternal grandmother Susan Clark Ross. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, girlfriend, Melissa Castro and all his many friends. He attended Slidell area schools and graduated from Slidell High School in 2009. He was currently enrolled at Delgado Community College majoring in Business Administration and was employed at Wal-Mart on Northshore Boulevard. In his younger years Jonathan enjoyed being a page for the royalty of the Dionysus Carnival Club, hunting with his dad, bowling, and of course baseball which carried into his later years. His primary interest in recent years was bodybuilding, power lifting and tricking out his Inferno Orange Metallic Camaro that he fondly referred to as “Trick or Treat”. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell. Visitation will be from 9 – 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Moose Charities, 155 S.
