Michael (Mike) Tusa entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. 

Beloved Husband of 55 years to Marie Spizale Tusa. Son of the late Michael Tusa 
and Ninfa Rizzuto. 
Age 81 years. 
Beloved father of Michael (wife Karen), Kevin (wife Marilyn), Michele Tusa 
Dasinger (husband Thomas) and Gina Tusa Martin (husband Tristan). Grandfather 
of Angelle Tusa, Kevin Tusa, Jr.(wife Laila), Zoe Martin and Skylar Martin. 

He was a Marine Corps Staff Sergeant who served in the Korean War. 
He volunteered many years at the Covington Food Bank distributing food to 
thousands of needy families. 
He was in the St. Benedict’s Holy Name Society and served as an usher at the 
church. 
He was proud member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. 
He was in charge of the Holy Name’s annual Fish Fri. The fish recipe was his 
own creation and will be carried on for years to come. 

He was a wonderful, generous husband and father who touched the lives of 
countless people. 
He dedicated his life to his family. 
He was surrounded by his family throughout his illness and they were honored to 
take care of him just as he did for them all their lives.

A memorial service will be held at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, 20370 Smith 
Rd., Covington, LA on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to the Covington Food 
Bank.
