HARRIET H. VENUS, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 
Slidell Memorial Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Vernard P. Venus for 54 years.

Mother of Paul Venus (Faizuly), Wayne Venus (Lynn), Toni I. Glasgow (Andy), 
Leslie L. Venus and the late Linda Venus, Steven Venus and Guy Venus.

Daughter of the late Dr. Joseph Heine and Irene A. Heine.

Also survived by 7 grandchildren; Jennifer Venus, Kaysea Mize, Sarah McCall, 
Tamara Nelson, Marshall Phifer, Danny Cuervo and Hailey Glasgow; and 6 great 
grandchildren, Ciara, Malia, Delilah, Jesse, Jami and Violet.

Age 87 years; a native of New York, NY and a resident of Slidell for the past 
54 years. Mrs. Venus was a member of First Baptist Church of Slidell and Jews 
for Jesus. She had a passion for animals and was active with the Slidell Humane 
Society.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service 
at First Baptist Church of Slidell, 4141 Pontchartrain Dr., Slidell, LA on 
Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at church from 
10:00am until 11:00am.

Donations to: Slidell Humane Society, 2700 Terrace Ave., Slidell, LA 70458 is 
preferred, in lieu of flowers.
