Son of the late Charles and Maggie Wedgeworth. Beloved husband of Margaret Kirkland Wedgeworth for 48 years. Father of five children, Tanya and Billy Moore, Robbie and Kevin McCarthy, the late James Wedgeworth, Charlie and Jule Wedgeworth and Sabrina and Hank Hebert. Brother of Charlene Young, Joanne Burchfeild, and Martha Walther. Survived by five grandchildren, Bobby and Lori Wedgeworth, Jade Wedgeworth, Evan Wedgeworth, Bryton Hebert, and Maggie Hebert. Also, by five Step grandchildren, Mitchell and Brittany McCarthy, Brian Stevenson, Christian Walls, Ashley Acosta, and the late Cody Inzinna. Employed for twenty-six years with Gulf Oil/Chevron Corporation as a drilling superintendent, member of the Masonic Lodge of Belle Chase, Louisiana, faithful member of Bedico Baptist Church, and dedicated follower of Christ. He also served in the United States Army at Fort Dix, NJ during WWII. Wake services and Funeral services will all be held at Bedico Baptist Church, 28156 Highway 22, Ponchatoula, LA 70454. A wake is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 6-10:00 PM with visiting hours beginning Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral services will begin Wednesday November 2, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Interment at Theodore Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville will immediately follow services. In Lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Bedico Baptist Church Complete the Vision Campaign, 28156 Highway 22, Ponchatoula, LA 70454. Officiating the services will be Dr. Leo Miller, Brother Butch Brown, and Brother David Maxwell. ===================
