Henry Edmondson Davis passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011. 

He was born March 6, 1922 to the late George Robertson Davis, Sr. and Eula 
MacFarland Davis Whetstone.

The beloved husband of Julia Deaton Davis, he is survived by his daughter, 
Janet Marie Davis. He was preceded in death by his brother, George R. Davis, 
Jr.

Henry served his country during WW II in the U.S. Coast Guard from the shores 
of the United States, across the Pacific and into Japan, clearing a safe 
passage for his fellow soldiers defending our freedom. After the War, he worked 
for 18 years on Esso tankers as a Fireman Water Tender and finished his career 
at Southern Shipyards in Slidell. As an avid fisherman and sailor he continued 
to patrol the Louisiana waters even after his retirement in 1984.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 
W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours will begin Thursday at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Garden of the Pines Cemetery in Covington will immediately follow 
services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeshore Hospice, 2659 N. 
Causeway Blvd. Mandeville, LA 70471.
