Cynthia Bowman Doerr, devoted fiancé, beautiful mother and proud grandmother, 
took a walk with the angels Oct. 25, 2011, at 12:07 a.m. at the Ochsner Medical 
Center – Northshore in Slidell.

Cynthia was born Sept. 25, 1953 in Brookhaven, Miss. to Roberth Luther Bowman 
and Elsie Marie Jordan. 

She is survived by her fiancé, Curtis Dunson; mother Elsie Marie Jordan; 
sister, Linda Vallé and husband Ric; daughters, Sarah Vaughan and Paige 
Vaughan; half brother, Clint Smith; half sisters, Amy Smith Rhoads, Ouida 
Dawkins and Bonnie Whitty and four grandchildren.

Cynthia never met a stranger. The things she enjoyed the most was her passion 
for cooking, her love of dancing and being with her friends. She will be 
greatly missed.

Love is a special word, where the eyes say something, where even silence can be 
heard; where so much is said without uttering a word; where togetherness is 
bliss and sharing is the key. Such is the special love between you and me.

Cynthia’s friends are her family, so please join in a celebration of her life 
at 1 p.m. Sunday Nov. 13, 2011 at the Dock Marina in Slidell.
