David Michael Oster passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at age 71.

Beloved son of the late Marie Camps Oster and Joseph Charles Oster.

Loving brother of Michael Oster, Sr. and Cynthia Oster Fandal. Uncle of Michael 
Oster, Jr., Jennifer Fandal and Beth Fandal. Cousin of Linda Barbalich.

He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of the northshore for the past 27 
years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Cuban Crisis. He 
retired from the Times-Picayune. He will be missed by family, friends and his 
beloved dog, Buddy.

All funeral services are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Oster be 
made to the Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
