Susan Elaine Prine passed away on November 3, 2011 from breast cancer while 
surrounded by her loving daughters & friends. 

She was born in New Orleans on November 26, 1959. 

Susan was a very loving and compassionate mother, daughter friend and coworker, 
as well as a dedicated fan of the New Orleans Saints. 

She is preceded in death by her father Toxie “Buck” Prine, her oldest sister 
Patricia Ann Geiger, and her beloved niece Laura Lee Geiger. 

She leaves behind her 3 precious daughters, Robin Michelle Cortes, Jennifer 
Nicole Cortes, & Lindsey Alexus Sumlin, as well as her mother Betty Virginia 
Watts Prine, her sisters Lyndia, Mary, & Martha, her guard dog Toby, & her 
“grand dog” Chico. 

Susan will be remembered most for her compassion & willingness to help others. 

Services will be held on November 12, 2011 at 11 am at Calvary Baptist Church 
in Slidell.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Susan’s memory to the New Orleans 
affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help prevent other families from 
experiencing the same heartache we felt.
