ESTHER MATHERNE CHANT, of Slidell, LA , departed this life on Friday, December 
2, 2011 to be reunited with her beloved husband of 53 years, the late Edward 
Joseph Chant.

Mother of Cheryl M. Galland and the late Edward F. Chant. Son-in-law of Ricky 
M. Galland.

Sister of the late Julius, Laurence, Ernest Matherne, Elma, Josephine, Lurline 
Schouest and Eola Plasiance.

Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Stacy Guillot, Cherie Galland, Ricky J. 
Galland, 3 great grandchildren, Justin Catchot, Dylan Catchot and Alexander 
Guillot and inlaws, nieces and nephews.

She had 81 years of a good life.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 1:00 P.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Tuesday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
